Review of Cujo (1983) by Shawn S — 25 Jun 2014
While the film looks and sounds pretty cheap, I've always thought it was surprisingly good. Considering its time of release - and its content - the things they trained the dog to do is pretty damned impressive.
Charles Bernstein's music score adds much needed atmosphere and emotion to the story. And the last half if as classically Stephen King as you could get. I understand how many people get put off by the clichéd divorce story (even though I personally enjoy it), but even so, the final forty minutes are more than worth the wait.
