Review of Cujo (1983) by Troy F — 29 Apr 2015
It really isn't worth it to watch a film that takes too much of its time building up plot points just to lead to an excuse for a dog to terrorize a mother and son in a car, which only has a few effective moments and a fair performance from the mother, but the boy just whines uncontrollably to an annoying degree.
You want to see what goes on with the dog, why wait so long to see it? Read up on the plot that starts the film and skip to when they get to the house with the dog, and you'll have a short 40 min film about a terrifying dog that's probably better paced that way.
The film's focus is on this dog, yet he's terrifying half the time, and other half just an adorable dog coated in blood that looks silly. In total, Cujo as it is just drags and it blows.
