Review of Cube Zero (2004) by Liam U — 16 Dec 2009
Not bad, but definitely unnecessary. The original 'Cube (1997)' never needed expanding upon, and this attempts to answer some of the questions that are best left unanswered. The traps do make a welcome return after a distinct absence in 'Cube 2 - Hypercube (2002)' but the focus here is less on what's going on inside the cube and more about the workings behind it.
There are a couple of nice nods to the previous two films, but it could and should have been better.
