Review of C.S.A.: The Confederate States of America (2005) by Jonas J — 26 Aug 2007
I thought this movie had some really clever moments. Fighting for "states rights" instead of slavery, canada becoming a center of art and culture, neutrality during WW2, I thought some of the commercials could have been produced better, they reminded me of something a kid in high school filmed.
I do not think a CSA would have lasted with slavery today, I think the country would have had so much pressure from other countries that could have severed ties with the CSA and embargoed all their trading goods.
I thought the message that this is the USA was kinda forced out. However, this movie is just entertaining as a dystopian future.
