Review of Crossing Over (2009) by Tõnis K — 14 Jun 2009
Sex, violence and betrayal - all in the name of what it means to be an American - or, more specifically, what it means to deserve to live here. Heavy-handed and overdone, Crossing Over has a paint-by-numbers quality.
Director Wayne Kramer has hurtled into Crash territory, and the smash-up is not a happy collision. Don't let it put you off though, it's still a good flick worth sitting down for two hours if nothing else is on, as it tries to portray some good liberal intentions.
