Review of Crossing Over (2009) by Ned P — 31 Jul 2013
This movie reminds me of excellent Crash. It is not as good as and stories woven through it seem a bit strained and exaggerated. Still, can't help but feel there is more truth to them than we are sometimes willing to admit.
The message seem to be one sided, favoring the immigrant's plight, but I give it four stars for addressing the problem from their point of view. That is what the art is supposed to do. Inform us all of the other's point of view in effort to better understand and tolerate our differences.
