Review of Crossing Over (2009) by Tanis O — 06 Jul 2009
Not bad, Harrison is good, but not as good as he has been. What is good about this movie? Good cast, good acting. But the movie isn't anything we don't already know. People going to great lengths to get a green card, I know this, especially in the States, I know this, prejudice, I know this, people using sex to get what they want, immigrants helping each other out kind of like a "pay it forward", I know this too.
This movie is really just a way to make you feel more sympathetic to those immigrants who struggle to live in America, who desperately want a better life for themselves and their kids, and we do have sympathy, but if it is illegal and you know it is illegal, then that is a choice that they make.
