Review of Cross of Iron (1977) by Brad S — 09 Jun 2016
This is a classic war film from Sam Peckinpah starring James Coburn, James Mason and Maximilian Schell. Orson Welles called it the greatest war film since "All Quiet on the Western Front." I liked, but didn't love it, part of the problem is I watched a poorly made DVD that was full frame instead of widescreen and the picture clarity was terribly.
I will give it another try when it gets a proper release on Blu-ray, even though the quality was awful, I could see what people heard in high regard.
