Review of Crooklyn (1994) by Eriqua P — 19 Nov 2007
This movie was pivotal for me as I left college. I loved the colors, the memories of the old neighborhood, Alfre Woodard and Delray Lindo's performance as parents, and the subtle interactions of the neighbors, children, and family members.
I felt my hair getting pulled as Zelda Harris (Troy) was getting her hair brushed.
The barrio bodega was the bodega I went to when I visited by Titi in NYC...
Emotional for me as a partial journey through my childhood.
