Review of Crooklyn (1994) by Raven1992 H — 12 Feb 2010
Crooklyn is an interesting movie. Though its not exactly what I'm used to, it has some very interesting points. The way the director made the dreams was one of my favoites. He made Troy look like she was flying away.
Troy and her mother were my favorite characters in the movie. Troy wants people to think that she's a hard core little girl who doesn't have any weak emotions, but inside, shes still a little girl who needs to be encrouaged and loved.
Troy's mother is a very interesting woman. I liked her right away. She is a loving mother, but she does not let her children, or anybody, walk all over her. She is the main thing that keeps that family together.
The acting in that type of movie is as good as it is to be expected. The movie seems to be more of a low budget film, but, then again, the director seems to have done the best he could with limited means.
I really can't thinik of anything that would need to be changed. I liked the movie well enough, and I probably would have loved it if I enjoyed those kinds of movies.
