Review of Crimson Tide (1995) by Laney C — 17 Jun 2008
Washington and Hackman go head to head in this tense thriller. Some great acting is let down slightly by a repitetive last third of the narrative ("who has hold of the guns" gives you the jist of what I'm talking about) which is expected of Bruickheimer-produced film but still disappointing all the same.
Some may find the film patriotic, some may find the film still relevant to today (like me) and that is what gives this film an edge. Thirteen years after release and the political climate is still the same.
