Review of Crimson Peak (2015) by Jorel D — 01 May 2016
Going from Hell Boy, to Pan's Labyrinth to gigantic robots fighting monsters, to The Book of Life Guillermo Del Toro is truly unpredictable and visionary in all his works! Many would say this is any other horror film, but the difference here is that all the happenings are there for a reason.
I felt that it is not intended to be scary movie, but if there is ever a correct way to direct a horror film Del Toro's Crimson Peak has it! He has nailed similarities of what people experience in the other world of the dead and purpose of their contact with the living.
It's not too far off personally knowing people who have told me their tales with ghosts. Crimson Peak... conquer your fear and watch it!
