Review of Crimes and Misdemeanors (1989) by Mrcn M — 02 Jul 2007
My favorite Woody Allen film. It's intellectual, realistic enough to make Balzac proud, and sharp as a tack. What's also remarkable is the evident influence by Ingmar Bergman and how well it translates.
Woody Allen even used Sven Nykvist as his cinematographer (Bergman's full-time cinematographer).
