Review of Cries and Whispers (1972) by Vincent Solyenincy G — 29 Jul 2012
The most powerful and astonishing of all Bergman films, Cries and whispers is the most profound, human and brilliant film ever, is a must seen film of adult conscience. Bergman was always beyond film, beyond controversial standards, he's the master behind the provocative and not less controversial film The silence with Ingrid thulin, Cries and whispers still is the most shoking Bergman film and the 'most' of all time.
I consider this masterpiece just for adult audience and for open minded people, its not sexual, its more deep than that, is as mature as Stanley kubrick's A clockwork orange or William friedkin's The exorcist, but not similar just in controversie.
