Review of Cries and Whispers (1972) by Mitchell Y — 23 Dec 2007
Unsettling Bergman, particularly the scene with broken glass (you will know which one i'm talking about). Bergman is a master of quiet moments and interesting character studies and I appreciated the depth and unsettling connection with the characters he created; I wouldn't rate this as one of his best, but it's definitely got some skilled directing and acting in it.
