Review of Cria! (1976) by Maria V — 01 Jun 2010
This is a moody, melancholy film set in a dilapidated, haunted house that mirrors the state of post-civil war Spain. Not a lot happens and the dialogue is limited to essentials but all that needs to be conveyed is done so through the brilliant cinematography and Chaplin's expressive gaze.
