Review of Creed II (2018) by Trina B — 26 Nov 2018

I loved loved loved Rocky IV as a kid and the anticipation of a Creed/Drago rematch with their sons on top of a sequel to Creed was too exciting. The movie seemed to follow the structure of Rocky IV more than the original which is not a bad thing.

Predictability is one of the more charming characteristics of this series. There is growth among all lead characters and lessons to learn plus a surprise or two. I'm not sure if there was any intention for this to happen but there was a degree of empathy felt towards Vicktor Drago and his story.

Creed was a better movie overall, the hype was uneven throughout this film and did not max out as I expected but I thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend to any Rocky/Creed fan.
