Review of Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954) by Sofia Å — 07 Apr 2009
More charming than scary by now, this movie still feels fresh theme wise -- a monster that is not evil but merely defending his (the fascination with Adams suggests a male. Or not...) habitat against harpoon shooting, rotenon tossing humans.
Perhaps not fresh but at least familiar is the premise of a group of people stranded in the middle of nowhere, slowly being picked off, one by one.
