A well cast and very believable portrayal of Darwin's brush with madness as he faces the dilemma of publication and fails to cope with the loss of his daughter, but this aspect drawn over almost 2 hours makes for dull viewing.
Dissapointing by its absence was the opportunity to lighten the tale with Darwin's days on Beagle where the discoveries were made.
