Review of Creation (2009) by Gonçalo A — 23 Jan 2010
I quite enjoyed this movie albeit it being a bit sluggish story telling wise and looses itself a bit midway. Bettany hands a great performance and Connelly is, as always, as beautiful as she is talented. But the true hero is of course Darwin itself and the most important reason that drew me to watch this movie. The movie starts with a sentence that goes something like:"On the origin of species" has been called the biggest single idea in the history of thought.
If not exactly that, then certainly "one of". And this movie helps one appreciate just how huge the impact of this idea, that we take for granted now, had back then.
