Great little documentary about true love, or some weird high-society version of it. "Boy meets girl-boy impresses girl with money-girl breaks up with boy-boy throws acid in face of girl (blinding girl)-boy goes to prison-girl becomes single and undateable-boy gets out of prison-boy and girl resume dating-boy and girl get married.
" What is so interesting on the surface, obviously, are the acid-chucking/blinding/imprisonment angles of the story. However, what makes the CRAZY LOVE resonate after the film ends is the characters' motivations to return to one another's arms.
It seems unconscionable, but this couple seems to have made it work. And on top of this, Burt's and Linda's personalities and quirks make them highly enjoyable interviewees.
