Review of Control (2007) by Zenobia O — 21 Jun 2009
Fine biopic of the late, troubled Joy Division singer, managing to be really quite affecting despite an oddly minimalist storytelling style. Film also contains some strikingly authentic cinematography and acting performances, especially from Sam Riley, who makes for a spookily accurate Curtis.
Plus it goes without saying that the soundtrack is excellent.
