Review of Crazy Heart (2009) by Amy Beth H — 19 Jan 2011
It is heartbreaking to watch Jeff Bridges' alcoholic washed up country singer attempt at a comeback. However, his performance is absolutely amazing. Jeff Bridges will remind you of Kris Kristofferson or Waylon Jennings, and everything about the performance is flawless, and well-deserved of his Oscar.
Colin Farrell, while not in the film as often as I would have liked, surprised me with his beautifully southern singing voice, and his naturally sounding southern accent. It ended as I expected it to, with a perfectly bittersweet ending, much like a country song.
