Review of Crazy Heart (2009) by Jordan P — 01 May 2018
I admit that I was hoping for the composition of music to be better, but really the thing that shines here is how believable Jeff Bridges is as "Bad" Blake. He has down the southern grit, charm, and raunchiness down quite well, and the film itself is a journey, even if at the end it feels more like a ticket to Red Cloud, Nebraska than to a soul drenching Niagara Falls, but that may have been the point.
Best take away from the film is that not everything will fall into your lap just because you make changes for the better, but your life will improve, and it's worth it.
