Review of Cosmopolis (2012) by Josh L — 18 Feb 2013

I recognize David Cronenberg as a talented director but this movie was just awful. A meandering and non-sensical journey on a white stretch limo while a young billionnaire seeks to get a haircut. The dialogue really irked me as it tries to be so poetic and profound but ends up being mind-numbingly annoying.

The themes involved are, of course, capitalism and consumerism and rich wall street tycoons. I can think of a dozen films that have handled those themes more thought-provokingly and powerfully than this low rent bore.
