That's it, I'm through with Tim Burton. First there was the unimpressive Big Fish, and now this piece of dreck. It looked good enough, in the usual Tim Burton style, but ugh! The painfully dumb dialogue! The idiotic characters! The crappy jokes! The weak musical numbers! The predictable ending! Did I mention how staggeringly DUMB the whole thing was? It was all I could do just to sit through it.
There's no magic, no whimsy, no heart here. It's no Edward Scissorhands.
