Review of Cop Car (2015) by Noah D — 10 Nov 2015
To say this movie fell under the radar this year and wasn't even released at the cinemas, I was quite impressed with it and how it was delivered. In a NUTSHELL two young boys out playing stumble across a seemingly abandoned police car in a secluded wooded area and, with one thing leading to another, take it on a joyride.
Now I say seemingly abandoned, the car actually belongs to an officer up to no good and when he finds out his rides been taken, let's just say he's not best pleased. He now faces a race against time to locate the boys and the car before they open the trunk of it, and find what's inside.
'What could possibly be contained in the trunk of a crooked coppers police car?' I hear you all shout, well, that would be telling. Kevin Bacon plays our villainous man of law, there's something about playing a villain that he seems to excel at (The River Wild, Sleepers) and this one is no different, he's great.
The rest are a relatively unknown cast but it's a good watch. At under an hour and a half it's short enough to keep your attention, and not predictable, which is a good thing nowadays, thumbs up from me.
