Spirited and light, "Cool Runnings" takes on some familar ground here, but the style and light comedy lifts it above the routine.
An Olympic hopeful loses his chance to make it to the Olympics. The only way for him to achieve his dream is to join the winter Olympics. Even worse for him is the fact that it is the Jamaican bobsledding team.
John Candy is wonderful as the coach.
