Review of Conviction (2010) by Nigel M — 27 Feb 2011
Quality drama justice system based drama. Swank is magnificent and Minnire Driver unusally good too. Rockwell shines in his role as the 'victim' of the court judgement on his involvement in a brutal rape and murder.
His character is a bit unsavoury beforehand and such was the effectiveness of Rockwells performance you almost didn't care about his plight until it becaomes obvious that there's something fishy about his conviction and that in a civilised world no-one deserves to be locked away for nothing.
Cue Swank getting herself qualified as lawyer to appeal her brothers conviction which takes years but she is driven by her 'conviction'.
