Review of Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (1972) by Tim K — 08 May 2011

The darkest of the ape series, after "Escape", which was small scale and fulll of humor (for the first half anyway) they went for large scale and dark. and they succeeded. Yes it just fills in the blanks that "Escape" so greatly set up.

But it just had to be made, and they couldn't have done it better, with an ugly slave society of the near future (1992 which looks like the present) and graphic (for then) scenes of torture and oppression, it is one of the best of the original series.
