Review of Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (1972) by Dc F — 04 May 2010
"Conquest of the Planet of the Apes" turned out to be far better than I had expected and director J. Lee Thompson does a great job of making the fourth entry in the "Planet of the Apes" franchise an entertaining and dramatically satisfying commentary about race relations and what constitutes humanity and compassion.
The last half-hour when the Apes overrun humanity and capture the head human (Don Murray of "Advise and Consent") is gripping stuff.
