Review of Congo (1972) by Brian K — 18 May 2012

This is one of those films that I intended to see for years, and never got around to it. I probably shouldn't have bothered. I realize it's nearly 20 years old at this point, but the effects are laughable.

The plot isn't very strong, and while there are certain aspects of the film that are reminiscent of Jurassic Park, it pales in comparison in just about every conceivable way. I pretty much left this on for background noise, because I lost interest after about half an hour.

There's not enough action or originality to make it very interesting.
