Review of Confessions of a Superhero (2007) by Matty O — 26 Aug 2008
You know on Hollywood Blvd. in LA when you pass the Mann's Chinese Theater and there are dozens of people dressed as fictional characters posing for pictures? You don't really think to yourself who these people in the silly costumes might be in real life.
This move delved into the lives of the struggling actors who portray Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman the Hulk. Who knew the guy playing Hulk was homeless for four years? Who knew "Superman" is a real life Superman FANATIC!! Notice the upper case letters.
I'm a Spider-Man fanatic...lower case. People think I'm a bit OCD. But wait 'til you meat this guy. And "Batman" is a "Dark Knight" indeed with a shady past and shocking confessions caught on camera that will blow your mind! And "Wonder Woman"? A pretty cute girl! 'Nuff said.
I really am fascinated by inside takes on people's lives and a peek into these folk's lives are fascinating indeed. I came out respecting all of them more than I would have expected going in but also came out thinking I may cross the street the next time I'm at the Mann's Chinese Theater in Hollywood, just in case one of them loses their temper.
