Con Air is basically one of those 90's action movies you can just sit right through. It doesn't break any new ground, it isn't flashy, it isn't edgy, and it doesn't have a lot to offer.

But given the explosive action scenes, it's quite easy to see why some people might actually enjoy this film. Yeah, the main cast has its moments, but some of the other characters are simply unlikeable.

Then again, the story doesn't exactly have any depth. Also, this movie seems to use those cliché guitar riffs all the time, and it basically amounts to hard rock done wrongly. Overall, Con Air is enjoyable for the undemanding, but not for those looking for an engaging, electrifying action film.
