Computer Chess has some really funny and brilliant parts, but overall it is a bit slow and drawn out. The best part of the film is how well the director and writer were able to generate the true tensions and feelings that existed within the computer culture back in the 80's There are some similar characters as we see in true documentaries such as Fist Full of Quarters.
