Daring and disturbing but hardly suspenseful, Compliance offers a powerful exploration of blind obedience to authority but its deliberate pace and repetitive structure turn it more into a well-acted dramatization for the ID channel rather than the gripping, inspired-by-true-events psychological drama it begs to be.
