Review of Compliance (2012) by Jooeun P — 28 Sep 2017
The movie was way too slow. I should have stuck to the preview because it showed me everything I needed to know about the film except the end which was to be expected. I was waiting for some twist but there was nothing.
The film was anticlimactic. The only thing it did successfully was create discomfort. The movie explores snippets of each major character so that each character had depth (at least enough for the story to make sense) but while the movie tried to make the characters realistic, the ignorance of each character was unbelievable and I didn't buy it for one second.
It pissed me off the entire time I was watching the film because not a single person caught on to such an obvious scam. The cinematography was alright, taking away from the unbearably terrible acting.
I can't sympathize for anyone who this has happened to in real life because they have to have shit for brains to fall for something like this.
