Review of Commando (1985) by Steve J — 03 Feb 2010
Regarded as a bit of an action classic by many, but this pales in comparison to other 80s shoot em ups. Arnie is especially wooden through 90 minutes of one liners, car chases and bullets, and the bloody awful James Horner score that plays constantly in the background borders on seizure inducing.
Vernon Wells might be one of the most unconvincing tough guys in film history. Will raise the odd quilty smile, but this feels like something Chuck Norris would say no to.
