Review of Color of Night (1994) by Radha K — 29 Mar 2018
Color of Night is a wacky erotic thriller about a psychiatrist who takes of his friend's practice after said friend is murdered involving all sorts of wacky, erotic moments wrapped up in a nonsensical thriller.
This film is so over-the-top stupid that I began chuckling just from the DVD menu screen with the saxophone music. Every moment of this film is nonsensical and will leave viewers expecting serious entertainment baffled and confused, while fans of camp cinema will be howling with laughter at various moments (How did the killer know to push the car from the top of the parking garage as Bruce Willis was walking down the sidewalk below? You can't see from that vantage point).
It's steamy, it's cheesy, and it's a hell of a laugh riot from beginning to end. Only fanatics of B-movies need apply because if you want something serious and deep, you're sure as shit not getting it from Color of Night.
As a B-movie, I found Color of Night to be a glorious, wacky mess that was hilarious from beginning to end (Goddamn that funny-as-shit music score. I swear to God it was like listening to the music from a hilariously cheesy Super Nintendo game).
I love Color of Night for all the wrong reasons, but goddamn it if wasn't so entertaining.
