Review of Collateral Beauty (2016) by Bj V — 17 Dec 2016
After an awkward start the introduction of Mirren and Knightley take the film to an interesting place. The dialogue at times is bland and unrealistic, it's preposterous ending and many other elements are too predictable, and it forces the viewer to care about certain characters and their relationships with little to no backstory.
But its quick pace, interest premise and ever-changing plot elements make it an entertaining and captivating film featuring one of Smith's best career performances.
