Review of Collateral (2004) by Luke S — 14 Jul 2015
Collateral is one of the most jaw-bitingly intense movies I have ever seen, as the psychological tension between the main characters escalates by the minute. Jamie Foxx gives a career defining performance as the helpless and sympathetic protagonist, who is constantly tormented and pushed to the extreme by the brutally fear-provoking hitman played excellently by Tom Cruise, in the best film of his career.
Any film that makes you fear for the protagonist's lives in a way that seems almost real is definitely a gem that will be treasured by all fans of the genre, including myself.
