Review of Cold Mountain (2003) by Jacob H — 31 Aug 2012
This film just didn't appeal to me in any area. This romanticized version of the Civil War is predictable and poorly cast. Law and Zellweger simply do not belong in their roles as neither appear rugged enough to survive the war.
I cannot believe Zellwegger wins the academy award for her performance, though it was a very poor year for that category. The ending is also entirely too predictable.
