Review:

I quite enjoyed this intense drama about an ordinary frame maker who protects his family from someone who tries to rob his house, which opens up a whole can of worms. From police corruption to child pornography, this movie goes from one tricky situation to another and it brings together a 3 man team who try and work out what is actually going on. Once the whole story unfolds, the 3 man crew have to take matters into there own hands which gives us the intense showdown near the end. I thought that the actors put in some great performances and it was good to see Don Johnson in a decent movie after such a long time. The movie is a bit slow in parts but the chemistry between the characters was believable and well written. Watchable!

Round-Up:

Michael C. Hall, whose more famous for Dexter and Six Feet Under, seems to play intense characters very well but I would like to see him branch out into other genres. I've always been a fan of Sam Shepard because of his cool persona on screen and his no fuss attitude but in this movie he seems to be the hyped up character, who is looking for revenge. Don Johnson only seems to pop into movies every now and again and when he does, he always seems to play the smooth roles like in the old series Miami Vice. He was good in Django Unchained and Machete and I liked his role in this film because he brought some light to a delicate situation but it's about time that he played the lead in a movie. Personally I think that the movie deserved more at the box office but when you have a small distribution budget, it's always hard to make the big bucks.

I recommend this movie to people who are into there intense dramas about a frame maker who kills a burglar and then ends up protecting his family from the burglars father. 6/10.
