Powerfully acted and directed by a man who understands the revenge genre, Cold in July unfolds like a great disturbing thriller from the 90s. Hall, Shepard, and Johnson are so wonderful together that you can't help but smile while watching them on screen.
The violence is incredibly effective and it both disturbs and thrills you. Cold in July is a pretty great thriller worthy of the attention of any fans of violent thrillers.
