Review of Code 46 (2003) by Rebecca A — 28 Oct 2010
This may be one of the most beautiful films I have seen in... a while. I love the imagined world and its back story, the visuals, the gentle background soundtrack, the overwhelming *atmosphere*. I just don't buy the romance.
The *idea* of the romance, maybe, as a story -- but as they're played, I don't see the characters' *connection* or feel any real emotion. As a love story, I'm just not drawn in. It might not help that I spend most of the movie just gawking at Tim Robbins being huge.
