Review of Coco Before Chanel (2009) by Jessica H — 09 Apr 2010

Disappointed to see this version after I saw coco chanel with Shirley MacLaine. I was expecting a lot from a movie with audrey. but I felt that this movie did not actually present the life of coco as it was.

but actually after reading a bit about her life, I saw that both movies have something from it, but it was a matter of choice of the director on what to emphasize. non of these 2 movies depict the Nazi involvement and scandals, and her affairs.

but they need to be taken as they are. I could not imagine that movies are used in economics also: to build up a positive image over a company/product, since Audrey is the new face of Chanel...
