Review of Cocaine Cowboys 2 (2008) by Jeffrey L — 02 Nov 2008
This documentary, while not as good as the first, is still decent. It's about the Godmother's time in prison up until she was released, and her affair with a small-time drug dealer which made him rich, famous, and eventually on the Godmother's hitlist.
Pretty much the entire movie is told by that drug dealer, which is so full of himself and seems so excited to brag about all this, it was hard to really take him seriously, and I found he got annoying really quickly.
Apart from that though, this is a really good follow-up to the first movie, although it is a bit slower, and the animated scenes were really well-done, IMO.
So while it's a bit slower then the first, and the guy they interview for the entire movie is one of the most annoying people on Earth and was just using this movie as an excuse to brag to the world, it's still better then I expected it to be, but ultimately not nearly as good as the first movie.
