This movie certainly met my expectations on a comedy scale, I laughed nearly the entire movie. The reason I found this movie so profoundly funny is because I find humor in the superficial, plastic lives that are lived in this movie. The students at Cher's high school, and I say Cher's high school because people treat her like it is hers, they have nose jobs by the age of fifteen. They attend parties with drugs and alcohol. They dress like celebrities and drive mainly expensive cars. They are so "clueless" it is hilarious.

The romantic part of this movie is what actually gets me and makes this movie so comical. Cher and her best friends, Tai and Dee (Stacey Dash), have the most unrealistic fantasy of love and relationships. They search high and low for love and agree that it is the most important thing in their teenage lives. Dee and her boyfriend Murray (Donald Faison) fight like a mother and son. The downfall of this is that there is no actual romance in this movie. Cher and her stepbrother find love in the end and that quite honestly weirds me out. Not very romantic in my opinion at all. But, I was not expecting a high level of romance going into this teenage movie.

Overall this movie met my expectations. The plot of the movie was creative and mostly predictable which is what caught my utter most attention. It was entertaining and the actors portrayed their characters well. The ending to the movie was unexpected and caught me by surprise. I definitely never expected Cher, high class pre madonna, to fall for her stepbrother Josh, a middle class nerd. If I could have predicted the ending of the movie, I wouldn't appreciate it as much as I do.

The undertone of the jokes are crude and sarcastic. But overall I give this movie 4 solid stars out of 5. I believe this movie is a strong romantic comedy on a teenage level. The romance in this movie is immature and young and the main source of comedy. The collaboration of romance and comedy go hand in hand to complete this genre. I think this movie would quite honestly make a better teen reality television show.
