Review of Club Dread (2004) by Kevin D — 04 Jan 2011

I watched the first half hour of this the other night and couldn't get into it, with the exception of the awesome first scene. I decided to watch the rest of the film yesterday morning and I loved it.

The movie is really entertaining, has some mildly funny scenes, and it works as a slasher film. I liked the movie a lot because I was always in suspense and never knew what the Broken Lizard team would throw at me next.

The movie is constant dumb fun and the setting looks beautiful when the screen isn't covered in blood. The movie didn't have any big laughs but I thought some of the humor was chuckle worthy. Even if you don't find the movie funny, I think it's impossible to not find it entertaining.
