As a kaiju fan I was exited to see cloverfield. I was severely underwhelmed. if it was shot more like a godzilla movie instead than chronicle or blair witch I would have found it to be a descent movie.
but this film fails in what a monster movie should and that is you barely see the monster. when you do while the special effects are good the monster was a disappointment. but the film wasnt offensive or disgusting and its still a monster movie so I cant utterly hate it.
